Storage Construction’s Matt DePrato to present at 2023 ISS World Expo

(March 28, 2023)

Storage Construction’s VP of Preconstruction & Development, Matt DePrato, will be giving a presentation on value engineering at the 2023 Inside Self Storage (ISS) World Expo in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 12.

The presentation, entitled Value Engineering in Self-Storage: Cinching the Purse Strings on Your Next Construction Project, will give owners some insight into how to keep a firm grip on a project’s budget without sacrificing quality, functionality, or aesthetics.  His program will share strategies that can be applied to site layout, interior finishes, exterior facade, and more.

Some of the topics this presentation will cover include:

  • Ways to simplify facility design without sacrificing curb appeal
  • Site layout that’ll satisfy customers as well as the budget
  • Tips to improve site security without going overboard
  • Smart ways to select interior finishes
  • How to save money when hiring your construction team

“Value engineering is a standard practice at Storage Construction, but it’s not something that every builder does, or something that every owner considers,” says DePrato. “We believe that at a time when increased material costs are on everyone’s mind, it’s important to share with our colleagues some of the basic principles of how we approach this type of preconstruction planning.”

Storage Construction will also be exhibiting a range of its projects at the ISS World Expo, April 11-14, Booth 654 in the Forum Ballroom.
